Louise Chegwidden was born in South Africa, grew up in Australia, and now plants her garden in Oakland, California. She has been studying and teaching movement for over 30 years as a Physical Therapist and Feldenkrais Teacher®. She has helped sports teams reduce injuries and improve performance (rugby, field hockey, soccer, baseball, basketball), and the elderly in recovery after hip and knee replacements, strokes, and accidents. She has also worked as part of a home health team to provide care for Kaiser Permanente members in their homes. She teaches weekly Feldenkrais® classes, attending to the movement learning needs of students ranging in age from 30 - 90 years. When not teaching, studying, or writing, she can be found in a pool, on her bike, or playing racquetball with her husband and son. |
"... I recommend her services very highly. Having coached Australia and South Africa in rugby union, Louise rates as one of the best physiotherapists I have seen..."
