Feldenkrais + Fun Fitness with music a weekly class in Rockridge

Art Dealer The intention of this class is to promote safe return to the world of joyful, aerobic movement. Under the watchful eye of a 30+ year movement veteran, we will start on the floor, slowly and gently, exploring movements based on the work of Dr Moshe Feldenkrais. We will then grow our explorations into the vertical plane, with movements rhythmical, practical, and whimsical, to music from around the world.
Each participant will be given individual attention, and encouraged to move at their own pace. In the Fitness half, direction will be given in terms of speed, variety, flow, reversibility, range and functional relevance. Verbal cues will assist each participant on their road to developing an aerobic practice.
Please wear comfortable clothes, feet will be bare, and bring water and a mat or towel to lie on during the first part of the class.
